Rewind back to February of this year and we were presented with an opportunity to bring back our first ever talk show, Calcio Talk.

Calcio Talk provided us with our first ever platform to talk and discuss everything happening in the world of Serie A and beyond, out of a professional studio, with producers, editors and a very expensive setup. We were lucky enough to interview and chat with some big names in football such as, Socceroo and our very own ex-coach, Alan Davidson, and of course, Mr.Vibey himself, Alessandro "Alino" Diamanti. Everything was going well for Calcio Talk, sponsors were locked in and we had guests lined up for weeks, and then, disaster. A worldwide pandemic, who would’ve thought. Calcio Talk came to a halt just as the world did, and 2 years past without a single show. Calcio Talk was well and truly dead, or so we thought.

As you already know, we released our new podcast, The Almost Made It Podcast, recording it straight from our office, bringing a new format to the table where we interview ex-team mates and sports people from all walks of life and essentially provide them a platform to tell their story all whilst having a good laugh. This is different, this is new, this is CALCIOCLUB in its purest form, talking culture and raw emotion. But this wasn't the Serie A talk show so many of you had grown to love. Enter IL GLOBO. The Italo-Australian media powerhouse was on the look out for an Italian Football talk show to add to their program and asked us if we would be interested in hosting it. How could we say no?

We immediately thought back to being at our Nonni's houses and grabbing IL GLOBO to straight away flick to the back of the paper to view all the results and ladder of the Serie A and Serie B, and of course look at the photos and cut out all our heroes to stick them on our bedroom walls. It was the only way then, there was no social media, internet or anything else, IL GLOBO provided us with our beloved Calcio.
